Graduate Student Physics Conference

The Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) is pleased to announce that the fourth graduate student physics conference will be held from October 22-24, 2009 in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico. It is being hosted by the SMF and co-organized with the CAP and APS. The working language of the conference is English.

Recognizing that travel costs to attend this event are significant, the CAP, the SMF, and the seven Canadian corporate sponsors are pleased to provide CAM2009 Presenter Scholarships for up to thirty (30) graduate students pursuing their MSc or PhD at a Canadian university.

This conference is a valuable opportunity for graduate students to present their research to their peers in the form of talks or posters, to network with colleagues from Canada , Mexico and the United States , to participate in professional development seminars, and to meet with invited speakers. This is an excellent opportunity for graduate students to expand their horizons and to develop their presentation skills .
