Quantum Control: New Insights and New Scenarios
We shall discuss some of the deep connections gleaned from the new field of Quantum Control between geometry and the second law of Thermodynamics and between the definitions of phase and right/left handedness. We shall also show how one can coherently suppress decay processes, such as spontaneous emission, and how one can coherently control the breaking of the left/right symmetry in degenerate chiral systems and convert one chiral form to its mirror-image counterpart.
