The Plaque read as follows:
Special Award Presented to Paul S. Vincett

to
Paul S. Vincett
Presented on behalf of the
Canadian physics community
to
Paul S. Vincett
In recognition of his pivotal roles in the evolution of the CAP-NSERC Physics Liaison Committee, the initiation and guidance of the 1996-97 CAP-NSERC Review of Canadian Academic Physics, and the assembly, coordination and wise counseling of the Physics Steering Committees for the 1998 NSERC Reallocation Exercise.
His contributions, which include the sole authorship of the Economic Impact section of the Review, have been instrumental in creating a more cohesive and visionary Canadian physics community and have led to increased recognition of the importance and economic value of physics to Canada, as evidenced by the markedly improved position of physics in the 1998 NSERC Reallocation Exercise
