Factors Affecting Student Drop Out from the University Introductory Physics Course, including the anomaly of the Ontario double cohort

The drop-out rate from the introductory physics course at university may be a better indicator of average student success than the final course average, as many students who are performing poorly drop out and so are not counted in that average. This article discusses a number of possible factors affecting the student drop-out rate.
