The Bechgaard salts series of organic conductors are the archetype of superconductivity bordering on spin-density-wave order, a proximity found in several classes of unconventional superconductors. Here we highlight some recent developments of the renormalization group theory which shed light on the interplay of antiferromagnetism and superconductivity, the unusual normal-state properties and the pairing mechanism.
