Dr. Richard Mackenzie

richard [dot] mackenzie [at] umontreal [dot] ca Richard MacKenzie is a Professor of Physics at the Université de Montréal. He obtained a BASc in Engineering Physics from the University of Toronto in 1980 and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1984. His research interests lie mainly in theoretical particle physics and, more recently, in quantum information. He has published seminal papers in these areas and has supervised undergraduate and graduate students with research support from NSERC. Dr. MacKenzie has been a member of CAP since 1994 and has been on the executive of the Division of Theoretical Physics since 2003; he has been an Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal of Physics since 2008.
