Biography
Prof. Alain Haché

alain [dot] hache [at] umoncton [dot] ca Alain Haché is a professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Université de Moncton. He graduated from that university in 1992 and returned to the department in 1997 after completing graduate studies at the University of Toronto. Since 2003 he is Canada Research Chair in Photonics, Tier 2. He supervises graduate students and has published on a variety of topics, including nonlinear optics, optical stratified media, quantum dots and superluminal pulse tunnelling. His interests outside physics include ice hockey, for which he has consulted for the New York Times, ESPN and USA Today. He is the author of The Physics of Hockey.
