Professional Certification (PPhys)
Validity of the Licence
The licence to use the designation is valid for a period of five years, provided you remain a member in good standing of CAP and pay your annual certification fee.
A recertification is required every five years. Three months prior to the expiration of certification you must provide CAP with proof of continued physics-related employment, or equivalent experience.
Process: For recertification, you will be required to submit an application for recertification form (download available in pdf format). Completed forms can either be submitted to the CAP office by e-mail in pdf format (preferred), or mailed to the CAP office in hard copy (CAP, Suite 112, MacDonald Bldg., University of Ottawa, 150 Louis Pasteur, OTTAWA, ON K1N 6N5).

If recertification is granted, the licence will be extended for a further five year period and a revised Certificate will be sent to the licensee.
