In this period of continuously increasing pressures on funding for scientific research and education, it is especially important to have a strong and broadly representative national organization to represent physics and physicists in Canada. By becoming a member of the Canadian Association of Physicists you will be demonstrating your support for Canadian physics and the CAP, both by your presence in the list of members, and through the use of your financial contribution for support of the important programs undertaken by the CAP. In addition, your membership ensures that you have a national voice on issues of concern to you.
The CAP offers a variety of Individual and group membership categories, including Departmental, Institutional, and Corporate Memberships, to accommodate a wide spectrum of members. Fee levels are set accordingly, including reduced fees in a number of categories and free membership for undergraduate and first year graduate students in Canadian universities.
CAP members enjoy a variety of benefits, including a subscription to Physics in Canada, a reduced registration fee for the annual CAP Congress, access to the CAP job-finder, and other benefits as documented on this web site.
