This article is based on talks given during the 2009 CAP-CASCA Lecture Tour for undergraduates, and provides a conceptual discussion of the EPR paradox, the formulation of Bell’s inequalities for testing the premises underlying the paradox, and the connection of these ideas to the rapidly developing new field of quantum information science.
