Diversifying Physics Education to Diverse Physicists

Following the path of scientific curiosity involves creative problem solving, the joy of learning, interactions and discussions, fruitful collaborations, travel - a career as a physicist can be very dynamic and satisfying. The traditional physics classroom, however, reflects few of these elements. In the interest of diversifying the palette of physicists (and including more women), variations in teaching styles and conscious efforts to communicate how science is a highly creative process need to be incorporated into the classroom.
