The CAP congratulates CAP member Peter G. Martin from the University of Toronto/Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics who was invested as an Order of Canada Officer on Friday, December 30, 2016 and astrophysicist Victoria M. Kaspi who was invested as an Order of Canada Companion, the highest level within the Order. The Order of Canada was created in 1967, during Canada’s centennial year, to recognize outstanding achievement, dedication to the community, and service to the nation. Since its creation, nearly 7000 people from all sectors of society have been invested into the Order.
