Promoting Canadian Light-Based Research & Inventions (Input requested by May 15)

Dear colleagues,

The CAP, a contributing partner to the UNESCO-sponsored International Day of Light, will be highlighting Canadian research, inventions, based on light at the Virtual STEM Expo organized by Youth Science Canada from May 19-30th.  Around 10000 students and members of the general public are expected to view this exhibit.  The exhibit will also be featured on social media accounts of IDL Canada and the IDL Worldwide.

CAP members are invited to share pictures, photographs, videos of research or of demonstrations (send a link to a Youtube video), links to webpages with popular science or games, etc., that we can feature on this virtual exhibit.  The items should be related to light, laser-based technologies (such as microscopy or astronomy), or ways in which light enables sustainable development.

Your contributions may be sent to dayoflightcanada@gmail.com before May 15th.  Please send a short description of the item with each submission.

Sincerely,
Dr. Chitra Rangan
