The CAP represents and advocates on behalf of the Canadian physics community on questions of science policy impacting or informed by physics and funding for physics through

  • Lobbying for the interests of physics in new and existing government initiatives and funding
  • Engaging with federal political decision makers in Ottawa and their ridings to ensure ongoing support of physics research and education and physics-related industries
  • Engaging and Liaising with NSERC and other federal science funding agencies
  • Engaging with industry partners in promoting basic and applied research and advancing our other advocacy goals

Activities are spearheaded by the Science Policy Committee, the CAP-NSERC Liaison Committee and Board of Directors, and *NEW* the CAP’s Student Advisory Council.
